TCI work permit cost calculator
Work out the Government fees for a Turks and Caicos work permit from the official fee schedule. The annual permit fee depends on the job title: the schedule sorts 413 job titles into 8 fee scales, from $9,500 a year (Scale 1) down to $1,000 or less (Scale 8). Every figure below comes from the fee schedule PDF linked from the Government’s Work Permits page, or from that page itself.
What this does not include
- Costs outside the Government fee schedule, such as the two newspaper adverts, police certificates, medicals, certified copies, agents’ or lawyers’ fees, flights and housing.
- Penalties: the schedule lists a $250 penalty for not applying before a work permit expires.
- Any change from the Immigration Bill 2026, which passed in October 2026 but is not yet in force (see our work permit guide).

Sources and checks
- Work Permit Fees – Immigration Regulations 2016 (TCI Government) (PDF dated 13 April 2016), linked from the Government’s Work Permits page; both checked 02/11/2026. The page says: “The Fee Schedule that came into effect in April 2015 remains unchanged.”
- The Work Permits page gives the administration fee as either $150 or 10% of the work permit fee per application, whichever is greater, a labour clearance fee of $100 per application, and says the remaining permit fee must be paid within 21 working days of approval. The PDF lists the administration fee as $150.
- Where the two sources differ or don’t say, we show both or flag it. Always confirm the current fee with the Ministry of Immigration and Border Services before you apply.
