Government salary scales in TCI

The TCI public service uses numbered grades. This guide separates the published December 2023 review from indicative salaries quoted in October 2026 government adverts. Check each official advert for the salary and any allowances attached to that particular role.

The December 2023 pay and grading review

According to the Deputy Governor’s published remarks, Cabinet approved the review on 29 November 2023, effective 1 December 2023. It applied a minimum 10% increase to all grade structures and added Grade 11 for senior professionals.

The review introduced three Executive bands: Executive 1 for Deputy Permanent Secretaries, Executive 2 for Permanent Secretaries, and Executive 3 for the Attorney General and Deputy Governor. It also created a new health-sector structure, absorbed Provo, Duty, Child and Professional allowances into basic pay, and retained modified police and teacher structures.

Figures are the single salary quoted in each advert; some adverts quote different amounts for the same grade (for example health and specialist posts), so treat these as indicative.
